Thank you for your interest in becoming a Huntsville High School Lunch Community Leader today. We are looking forward to the times we are able to just be present in the lives of our students and teachers during their lunch hours. Here is how you can get involved today!
STEP #1
Fill out the Volunteer Application form for
Huntsville Independent School District.

STEP #2
Sign up for a day and time to be present on campus. There are two different hours to choose from daily.
10:50 am to 11:50 am (hour 1)
11:50 am to 12:50 pm (hour 2)
10:50 am to 11:50 am (hour 1)
11:50 am to 12:50 pm (hour 2)
STEP #3
SHOW up on your day and time. Park in the front of the High School to check in. Let the front receptionist know you are a Lunch Community Leader and don't forget to bring your Drivers License inside with you.
Helpful tips
1--Find a partner to go with you the first couple of times.
This will help you feel less uncomfortable and engage more with the students if you constantly have someone to talk to.
2--Those who show interest in talking to you, ask for their name.
Find something they are interested in and make a note to ask them about it the next time you are present.
3--Walk around both lunch areas.
They eat in the commons and in the small gym. Be sure to be present at both.
4--Find students doing something right and encourage them.
